interesting. last time i checked, the members that followed the rules never got their poetry deleted, black or white. and maybe you give people a reason not to care about what you say if you are so obscene with your opinions. since ive read over 5,000 poems on this site, it is safe to say that the moderators try and censor all poems that are inappropriate whether the person is black or white.
but on to criticizing your "poem". all capitals are unnecessary. learning how to spell words correctly would be a great start in even getting your point across. formulated opinions and showing them in a fashion that is not demeaning, obscene, and immature would be better expression of your abilities and yourself. the fact that in this "poem", you proved the moderators correct, was a complete waste of your time in trying to prove them wrong. also you said such an assumptious and racist statement that it is embarrassing and cruel to those who have tried to change the way things are and try to still do so today. they obviously got killed and had their blood spilled for ingrateful people. if you are not happy, change it. dont complain. if you are not happy with the stereotype of blacks, then prove that it is wrong. complaining does nothing but maybe even prove the stereotype correct. also, post a poem, and not some rant that isnt even poetic. that would also get your point across since this is a poetry site afterall. |

i have had one poem deleted, "Abstinence" and one half way deleted, "*hitpoetry". I was also thrown out of a previous site. I am always concerned about people who find words obscende instead of actions. I do not believe in censorship. People always have the right to go read something else. however, on the net we can't really see your color, or anything else for that matter. Anonimity, even your name could be fake. |

Compton, I have read your writing and I have liked it. I have told you this before too. I do know that they want to block obscene language and I agree simply because my children read things on this site and they would be upset by the language.
I am writing this note because I think that you are good. You can put the words together in a good flow and that is something that bothers me when I hear hip hop on the radio sometimes...their words seemed forced, just to make a rhyme. You have a gift and I think you should keep writing and keep sharing. Just bleep out your own words that are censored when you post the poem/song.
Also, from one writer to another...always, always, always have more than one copy of what you have written. This way you can never lose what you have spent hours writing.
Please keep sharing.....

This a a wonderful website . the ppls that manage and allow us to post our thoughts and creative ideas, for free and without fear are wonderful.
:-)Its a Good place and strong opinions should not have to be based on Color of skin when we are all equal here. Unknown except for what we share here online . No one can tell what or who you are -A lost teen or lonely senior who is communicating and stilling feeling like part of the world. Its a place to vent at times but the support and response are just that support responses. Language and ugly words are not needed here there are sites and areas that allow that but this is a family site. I agree with Our Gracious Host. Behave or Move along.

before you post read the rules. There is many reasons why profanity isnt allowed here. If you have been deleted it is because of breaking the rules we all have to follow them. This is a great site and noone is treated unfairly here. I also dont believe black or white that you are being singled out people dont opperate here in that manner. Mick has the rules in place for a reason if we break them then thats our own fault. The moderators are doing their jobs plain and simple. If you need profanity in your poetry thats your choice and there are other places to post it but this isnt one of them. Myself Im not downing you for the color of your skin so why bring that up? Keep writing just follow the rules this is a wonderful place with alot of great people and friends.

You have to be kidding me. No... I do not believe in censorship what-so-ever, but sites can create their own rules that override the constitution. It is their site. Don't get mad about it all when you are the one that should know better. Post your poetry somewhere that you don't have to censor it... is it that hard? Then you go around and say it is because you are black. No... that isn't right. If you write a poem about the beauty of butterflies and then have that one deleted, I will believe it is because you are black, and, yes, this site would be completely wrong and you have a write to be saying what you want about them. Until that happens, I am just going to say you have gotten what was coming to you. Sorry you feel the way you do towards this site... but that is from your own doings. |
