One Wing

Contributed by Pats4eva7 on Friday, 11th March 2005 @ 02:08:42 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Halfway between Heaven and halfway between Hell,
A beautiful one winged angel fell,
Just one wing, not two,
It's a miracle that she still flew.
Soon enough her wing gave in,
Just because of a single sin.
Her lone wing was torn apart,
Almost identical to her broken heart.
God's favorite child,
Upon her loads of pain he piled.
Satan's favorite slave,
She had a darkness he hatefully craved.
God denied her apologies,
For the pain He caused he couldn't see.
If He sells her to Satan she'd just die,
Would He then even cry?
God ripped the wing from her shoulder,
Being hated by Him, there's nothing colder.
Halfway between Heaven and halfway between Hell,
From the sky her lost wing fell.

welcome to YPDC, may you enjoy your time here as much as we will enjoy yours.

this was a sad and dark poem, I felt you pain, it told as if you felt sorry for what you were saying but you said it any way. you must have sufferd greatly to have done so, but you didi return to Him and thats all that matters, I will pray for you to make it through the tough times ahead.

this was a good poem, I too have felt this way but havent been able to capture those moments on paper and if I did I wouldnt be able to post then (due to subject matter and content) btu I do have an idea what its like to feel like this, just know that with Him you will make it through any thing. I am looking forwoird to reading more of your work later, be storng and God bless.

A real good poem. I'm glad your faith is restored, though.
