Sitting at work overcome in life's redundancy
Listening to the melancholy song on a drizzly day
Is this really the pinnacle of my expectancy?
Sometimes I close my eyes and daydream my job away.
I would of liked to have accomplished more
Or would of liked to have influenced today's youth
Maybe even been remembered as something other than a bore
Pretty soon my workday will end and I will make martinis to cover the truth.
