Why you hate me,
I'll never understand.
What did I do?
I didn't ask to be born,
neither did my brothers.
We were brought into this world
but your request only.
And now you treat us like criminals,
because we're obviously no good.
I do my best,
I really do.
Do you really think I want to take the advance courses?
Do you really think I like doing reports?
But I do it for you.
And what do I get?
A lovely “get of your lazy ass”
from that's right,
mommy dearest.
Do you really think,
I want to live?
Don't you think,
the knives appeal to me,
the backyard pool as well?
Believe me,
its crossed my mind,
but I'm such a wuss,
I'd never find the strength,
to die,
to go to heaven,
sweet heaven,
will I will be perfect.
Or at least my flaws will go unnoticed,
respected even.
I can wait till I'm older,
and leave your house.
I'll have my own house,
own life,
own family.
And that mother dearest,
is all that keeps me alive

| With a little more thought and a bit more passion, this would perfect. I liked the entire poem, but realize that it needs more passion and thought. Thank you much for sharing. I did like it you know. |
