From A Seed To A Tree

Seeds bloom into startling trees,
with a little water, and oppurtunity
they become tall oaks,
they weather the weather,
they out last the folks,
this little seed ,
will out last you and me,
if it can only weather the storm.
Faith is as blind
as Stevie Wonder,
I often wonder if I will find
that tallest tree,
with so much faith
and fruit that's free,
but all around
there's only bushes.
Fearful creatures
that doubt pushes
around on a whim
because the roots of faith
have yet to begin
to take root,
take hold,
in the earth.
It's okay to believe,
to offer a reprieve
from too much doubt,
but without a doubt
watch what you say
be careful of the way
you come across,
because if you give,
then you will recieve
as good as you get
and I bet
that it hurts
because you're still just a seed,
dreaming of a tree
to be freed
from the ground,
so don't be afraid,
to let your leaves show,
just remember,
you still have to grow.

I liked this poem because it was light-hearted. The problem I had was that I got lost. I loved the ending because I have an imagination just like you. Other than that, good write. |

About development in participation, right?
"Faith is as blind
as Stevie Wonder,"
It is? I assume that it listens, however . . .
Keep writing. |

CodyJ the more I read your stuff the more I like it. You are wonderful at expressing yourself. I loved this poem, the way you used the oak and the seed to convey your message. Much peace to you. Laura |
