The beginning of Good Bye

I am made of mans flesh and blood
both bitter and sweet
able to grace the sky with cobalt wings
and skim the fiery pits
of a liars heart.
Breaking free from the chains of your
demented "love"
twisted and seedy as
bar soaked eyes
blistered from intoxication
on a lonely night
you may feel the approach
of change
I can see it in your eyes
and your attempt to make right
the wrong you do so well.
I will not be a sinner
for the breaking of your heart
for my heart will not mend by the sound
of your voice
that is just the distant sound of thunder.
You have taken me there
to return
and back again
on one too many times
for this I'm scattered
tortured like leaves
slaves to the wind
