Everything is Gone

Topic: SadPoetry

A wonderful person is gone now, because of a stupid mistake.
Nobody knew that this would happen, but time to think they didn't take.

Just a little bit of fun and games, is all they thought it would be today.
But all their hopes and dreams and futures, are now burried in a grave.

Going to the party with nothing but fun times on their minds.
They had no idea that they would be leaving their lives behind.

Arriving to the place where the partying was going on.
Still having no clue at all, what after that night would be gone.

Getting back into the car, a little to much to drink.
Too bad they didn't take the time to think.

They started going faster and faster around the curves.
Until there was an oncoming car, and they tried to swerve.

The two small cars collided, and everything went black.
Now i bet at this point, they wish they could go back.

And not go to the party without some one to drive them home.
No one knew about the crash yet, so they were all alone.

A girl tried to get out her cell phone, but she was badly hurt.
She made her way out of the rubble, and her cell phone had been burnt.

The people in the other car were stuck inside the wreck.
The kids coming from the party, were wondering what's next.

About an hour later the sirens started coming near.
The lights started flashing and the ambulance appeared.

A moment of white light, and a couple aches and pains.
A girl awoke in the hospital, and she was left with all the blame.

She saw her mother come up to her, and she just asked her why.
She said mom i'm sorry i'll be ok please don't cry.

I only wanted to go to this party and have a couple drinks.
I had no idea that we would crash, that's just not what you think.

Her mother held her hand tight, as the heart monitor slowed down.
All the girl could do, was wait and watch as her life was thrown around.

She took one last look at her mom, and told her that she loved her and that she was very sorry.
She took her last breath and all her mother could think about was why did she go to that party.

All those lives just thrown away, with nothing left but sorrow.
Everything is gone now, just think about tomorrow.

I graduated high school in 2004. I dealt with situations like this 5 days a week. This touches home big time, and it scares the hell out of me to read:

Her mother held her hand tight, as the heart monitor slowed down.
All the girl could do, was wait and watch as her life was thrown around.

Amazing.
