Tell Myself Goodbye

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Tell Myself Goodbye,
For I have lost hope in dreams.
A million tears cryed,
And this is my final scream.

Tell Myself Goodbye,
For I have lost hope in life.
Another reason to die,
And this is my ending strife

Tell Myself Goodbye,
For I have lost hope in me.
Such a life of lies,
And this is my reason to not be
~
By Telling Myself Goodbye,
I would also kill the one I love
She would also die.
Killing herself, staining a beautiful white dove

By Telling Myself Goodbye,
I would choose to leave her alone
She would forever cry
Killing herself, being without an escape from home
~
By Telling Myself Goodbye,
I would be telling you goodbye too.
I could'nt do that, and you know why.
I love,
And live for
YOU
...

A sad heartfelt write full of emotion.
Expressed so well and deep.
Killing one's self is not the answer for the grief remains on those we leave behind.
Hope all is well for you. Take care and thanks for sharing your poem

this poem is based on exactly how i feel.
thankyou for posting it, it's been a strong reminder for why i should live.

sometimes you remind me so much of patricks poems. ::heavy sigh:: hopefully there would never be a reason to say goodbye to yourself...
