I did everything I knew to do
Every hour of every day
My every passing thought was you
I've loved you in every way
But to you, love's a possession
So easy to discard
And when you stand accusing,
I know you never knew me...
You've told me that you love me,
But I hear an empty phrase
Love isn't "on condition"
And it lasts thru every day .
I guess that's why it hurts so,
And causes me such grief
Your pain is just imagined,
But mine?...beyond belief!
It almost tears my heart out
To think you didn't know
That I would have never hurt you
Because I loved you so.
I must have failed to let you know
Though I did my very best -
That my biggest fear was losing you...
I guess I failed the test.
So, life goes on, but empty
'Cause you're not by my side
I won't take another chance,
And my feelings I will hide.
Because your guilt has haunted you,
I guess you never knew me.

Wow! Awesome poem!
So much emotions are encrypted in such a way that everyone who reads this will feel every ounce of your pain. How did I know? When I read your poem, I felt your pain as if it were mine... Very nice poem indeed!
