i do agree, it some times depends on the one saying it and why. but then again there are those who say that to make the other person not feel so hurt, or they say it because its better then saying most other things eventhough it hurts to heer it. they might also be saying that they dont want to change for you and so there moving on (that thought just came to me.) this is a hard question to answer with out knowing all the info. if you feel comfortable please do share it with us but if it hurts too much then never mind.
I am always happy to try and help my friends out with there kinds of questions so if you have more just ask and we will see what everone elas has to say about it. be strong and God bless.
