The Reason

Contributed by elsa on Wednesday, 9th March 2005 @ 08:48:13 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If I could tell the reason why a bird was meant to fly
If one could tell the reason why a rainbow’s in the sky
And why a seed when planted will surely root and grow
The things that seem so natural so little do we know.

If one could tell the reason why a flower blooms in May
If one could tell the reason why it brightens up the day
And why the morning sunshine is sure to bring content
These simple things which bring us joy for us alone their sent

If I could tell the reason why we take them in our stride
If we are thankful then must be, our gratitude we hide
Of all the pleasures in the world there’s none can equal to
The feelings that I have inside a love that’s just for you.
