Grief

The many things you loved in life, I’ll look towards and smile.
Because these things, they hide my strife, and make my life worthwhile.
My heart forever calls your name, though you never hear,
For one, He had a greater claim, to all of us He’s dear.
Our lord above, he needed you, he had a heavy task,
But who was worthy also true. Was you he chose to ask.
You guided me throughout the years, your courage eased my pain.
I tell myself with banished fears, I’m sure we’ll meet again.

I lost my Mom, so I understand the pain involved in losing someone. And for my own benifit, I do want to believe there was a purpose in it. |

I recently lost my third child. They were all adults, but the pain is the same. Keep the faith and you surely will meet again. Great poem. |
