i tread softly past mommas room she is up rearranging
she does that frequently now seldom sleeps anymore
behind those closed doors things begin to disappear
underwear go from drawers to under beds to who knows where
the mind is all a maze and we get to solve the mystery
i try to imagine what its like to live in that brain
my thinking must be like theirs to understand what its like
so i go through the paces to be them i dont like this
im so confused and frightened but i have to know
the mind is all a maze and we get to solve the mystery
back on my side of the tracks makes me appreciate more
but i do understand now better than i ever did before
the fear of not knowing who i was or who anyone was
of not knowing where i was or why scared me alot
the mind is all a maze and we get to solve the mystery
this journey takes me to more places than i expected
but i learn so much of how they feel so i can pass it on
show poeple the fear feel the confusions live their world
and the biggest fear for us is it could be us someday
the mind is all a maze and we get to solve the mystery
