A faded blue ball cap sits in my desk drawer.
A sentence unfolds, unravels; goes unprepared
over the white screen, the white page, the blue
and red lines.
I slip the ball cap over unkempt hair...
unkempt, brown hair; fading blonde
splits above a pallid forehead.
I slip the ball cap,
adjust the bill.
The bill tilts continualy
one side cocked higher than the other.
This is the way of life.

This made for a good chuckle. I find it interesting that you consider the way you wear your baseball cap a way of life. |
