My Torture

What are you doing?
Who are you with?
Where are you going?
Whom do you kiss?
Was she in your bedroom?
Was my toothbrush hidden away?
Am I forgotten so soon?
With someone new, do you now play?
Like a springtime bloom
Her lips were bright pink
She was in your bathroom
Their mark, on the towel by the sink
I've no right to be angry
But it hurts all the same
You've no commitment to me
Only I am to blame
I hope and I pray
You'll want me and no other
Yet I watch day to day
While you run away further
We no longer dance
Do you hide me in shame?
Can you not risk the chance
That we'll meet "what's her name"?
I don't know your reason
Maybe I'm just paranoid
I hate this season
When me, you avoid
I wish I knew what to speak
Or what I could possibly do
Fearing the havoc I'd wreak
I can't say, "I Love You"
It's driving me crazy
My mind on this track
Why can't you just love me?
And let me love you back?!

Bravo. Nicely written. I really loved..
"We no longer dance
Do you hide me in shame?
Can you not risk the chance
That we'll meet "what's her name"?"
Uhm. Brings back memories. Lovely poem. |
