Silent Misery

Silent Misery

In the lasting silence
I can only hear this
Throughout my misery
With chords struck bitterly

The angels singing
On the wings of death
The dead are mourning
With the life they left

The chords of dead notes
Sung with nonexistent voices
That have abandoned all hopes
Of making the right choices

Dying from the misery of living
Lost in the silence of only hearing
The chords of death that bring
The angels that no longer sing

Beautiful Jen, I really love this:

The angels singing
On the wings of death
The dead are mourning
With the life they left

You did a really good job on this - simple and flowing and a dark
and sad, yet beautiful picture painted in my mind. Once again, I loved
reading this. I hope you'll find the good in this too and find hope that lasts.

Take care,
~Waos/Kara

Within these four stanzas I saw a beautiful
and very poetic poem. I loved it all as the
imagery was seared into my head. I think the
first two lines of the 3rd stanza were my
favourite, but the whole poem was brilliantly
crafted.
"The chords of dead notes
Sung with nonexistent voices"
