The Middle Ground

Contributed by GeminiDreamer on Tuesday, 8th March 2005 @ 06:52:57 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

If I could float above the world I would
And look down at the earlthly dwellers
Caught up in their misery
Among the clouds lies happiness
In the absence of others
I thrive on the lonliness
If there was a middle ground I would live there
Floating through the unheard thoughts
The twisted complications and lies
That aren't mine, but the troubles of others
Uninvolved and unseen
Nothing to cut through my virgin flesh
Devastation below perfection above
In the ideal world residing in my mind
The air above me holds others of a like mind and spirit
Where I want to be
Stuck in the chaos my thuoghts and words
Sting and tear
Elate and uplift
Those who are lucky enough to know the truth
That I do not possess
Which none of us truly do
Life is the pursuit of truth
But it lies beyond reach
In the middle ground
Where my derams lay waiting

A powerful and strong write. I like the image you cast into the readers heads while they are reading your poem. An absolutely great write full of emotion. Thanks for sharing

Your poem is beautiful. Images are great. The only thing I think you should do if you rewrite it is add some places to pause. Other then that it's perfect.
Keep Writing! ^_^

This is such a powerful and moving write. It's so beautifully written, and your use of words is great. I really enjoyed this piece. I look forward to reading a lot more of your work in the future. :-)
