Occasionally comes escape
from an illusional cage.
Moments of freedom and hope,
short lived,
soon return to live on,
under the slowing of time.
Weakness displayed like a rock,
battered by the white of seas.
Doors remain open,
pathways free to walk,
except all held up,
by the obstruction,
known as me.
