Spell of Tender Banjo

The rocking chair traces a pattern
In kingly defiance of Newton
All that was true is false
I light my pipe with fire
-Inhale
Exhale with dignity
People all around me
Hungry like black flies
Lulled to infant sleep
Under the spell of tender banjo
The trees shiver
River in quantum rhythm
The leaves wither
River’s winter pantheism
Lost in dreams of an aspiring recluse
Where life is art
Expressed in the dead absence of uneven scales
I play folk with my muse so simple
-Strum up
Down with closure

Although not a fan of abstract prose, I rather enjoyed your write. I kind of lost you at the end, but overall, I enjoyed your muse |

Very well written poem. Abstract Poetry can be very hard to pull off effectively but this is good....
Well done
