thought we had a friendship..
thought that you were true..
thought you were my mentor..
thought you were my guru..
Yet here you stand
in line with so many gone before..
part of the legacy,
the back-stabbing confederacy
leaving me part of the B-Trade union.
There you stand holding the control panel
to the remote control dagger wedged in my back.
One look in her beady eyes
had you hypnotised.
A victim of her fishing hook
she dragged you in
with one sly look.
I miss you but you won't be back,
I wouldn't let you in infact.
thought I had an ally..
to journey with me through those years.
thought we had a promise,
all the times I erased your tears..
What did 8 years even matter?
I feel the memories slowly shatter...
into fragments of laughter that felt so familiar..
a person attached to me so similar..
now no longer can I confide,
during this turning of the tide.
How wrong was I....
to expect a friend on the other side.

So painful when friendship is dumped after a long time and not returned.....what did 8 years even matter, making sense of it is so difficult and yet what can you do other than accept and move on,well written |
