A Better Road

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Searching for peace down deep in your soul,
You’re empty inside, desiring to be whole.
Without even realizing, you’ve taken a wrong path,
You’re constantly looking for a new road map.
A map that will take you down a new and better road,
Where burdens are lifted, and lighter is your load.
So listen, My Friend, I’ve got good news for you,
I know a different way that can make you feel like new.
It can be found with a simple bow of your head,
With repentance on your lips, God’ll do just what he said.
He’ll change your life, along with your attitude,
And with a new heart, your path will have a better view.
You won’t see only the heartaches and hurts anymore,
Through the eyes of Christ, you’ll see, oh, so much more.
You’ll see the love and the tender mercies of God,
You’ll find the peace, that for so long, you have sought.
You’ll feel his presence, when you’re needing a friend,
If only to Him, an ear, you will lend.
There’s no sweeter journey, no path more divine,
No walk more fulfilling than with God, you will find.
So if you’re hungry inside and tired of carrying your load,
Give your life to God and travel a better road.
