I AM Death

Topic: DarkPoetry

You will find me in the place...
Where the carriage is overturned.
And those who guided it appear to be gone.
Where a horrible tangle of bones rest at the end of the lying reins.
All that's left of the beasts that carried this carriage through it's brighter times.
Now it all lies here, halfway out of the dying crab grass.
Decaying in a wasted world.
The tree's jut from the surface as eye sores, and appear to watch the passerbys.
There's a smell of oil in the air.
And the fireflies set the wood alight.
Here the fireflies are real.
There are footprints pressing down on the earth.
The shadows swallow any scattered light.
All you wondering souls come forth.
Claim your final resting place.
And sit and wait until the final days when darkness comes to claim the earth.
Watch the living hurry by, ignoring the state of this once flourishing place.
Listen to the wind as it creeps by...
Whispering through the cracks of these old trees and carriages,
Beckoning more along it's path so it may claim a bit more lives...
As it changes it's face
turning from the comforts you've learned to love.
turning from the world that's falling quikley...
Down into the cracks.
The end has come at last.
You will find me in this place...
amongs the restless and breathless breasts...
You will find me here...
For my darling, I Am Death.
