Untitled #6

I have no saviors
or idols
having fallen too far in a never ending pit
but rather beacons of light
to remind me I'm still alive
still human and in form
only following the road
without a light
for the dark can be blinding in itself.
Trip and fall if you will
but always landing on your feet
times change and the fall is forever
never landing on level ground
but I can still see the
stars at night
and thats all I need.

The ending is what brought home the meaning of this poem for me.
times change and the fall is forever
never landing on level ground
but I can still see the
stars at night
and thats all I need.
This is great. I like how you acknowledge that life is very difficult, and it seems like we are constantly falling, but inspite of all of the problems, you still see that it is beautiful and worth it.

It's true- quite depressingly and still wonderfully true.
A very nice poem.
