YOU BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES
ITS HARD TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU
MY HEART JUST WANTS TO DIE
I WASNT ALWAYS A GOOD FATHER
BUT NOT ONCE DID YOU SAY
YOU DIDN'T CARE
THE STREETS WERE APART OF ME
AND TO YOU THIS WASN'T FAIR
WHEN I GOT LOCKED UP
ALL I THOUGHT ABOUT WAS YOU
I THANK GOD FOR WATCHING OVER YOU
CAUSE IF HE HADN'T
I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE I COULD DO
WHEN YOU WERE A BABY
YOU USE TO LAY ON MY CHEST
TO LISTEN
TO THE BEAT OF MY HEART
BEHIND THE WALLS
I WAS STAYING STRONG
BUT EMOTIONALLY
I WAS FALLEN APART
I WAS SO BLESSED JUST TO HAVE YOUR VISITS
YOU ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON YOUR FACE
I'M SORRY YOU HAD TO SEE ME AT MY BOTTOM
AND THAT YOU HAD TO SEE ME IN THAT PLACE
WE HAD GOTTEN CLOSER WHEN I WAS FREED
I AM GONNA SUCCEED FOR BOTH YOU AND ME
I'M PROUD OF YOU AND THE THINGS YOU DO IN SCHOOL
DONT THINK IT GOES UNNOTICED
YOU MOM IS THE ONLY FOOL
I KNOW IT HURTS NOT TO HAVE HER AROUND
BABY
I'VE BEEN IN YOUR SITIUATION
DADDY WILL BE THERE WHEN YOUR DOWN
I KNOW I CANT MAKE UP FOR LOST TIME
BUT THERE ISN'T ONE SECOND THAT YOU NOT ON MY MIND

WE WILL FINALLY LIVE TOGETHER

BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE US APART

Awww this is so beautiful and sweet. Its written perfectly and flows smoothly, but its terribly sad at the same time. I hope things work out for you and your daughter soon, such a lovely poem.

This is a beautiful poem. I loved it. It is also sad too. Knowing that you can't live with your daughter. I hope that one day you will be able to.
