I live in the dungeon of my mind,
A place where others can not find,
Its dark, a place where angels fear to tred,
I live alone down here on my death bed.
I lay chained never able to escape,
Can’t live through another rape,
The pain is soul destroying,
With my unstable mind you are toying.
I have never felt anything like this,
I have been cursed with the reapers kiss,
I can feel his touch all over me,
I gave into him now I’ll never be free.
It eats & keeps me locked away down here,
With only demons to witness my tears,
They dance around inside my damaged brain,
For years they have been driving me insane.
Naked & beaten I lay,
To be allowed to live I pray,
But my prayers don’t deserve an answer,
As my depression is my mind cancer

i like this poem and it's revealing nature of
inner turmoil, an artistic writting of a poets
inner struggle, i can relate 2 this situation,

A very well written piece of poetry, Pix.
You have the reader feeling the writers inner turmoil. The mind is a dangerous thing sometimes. A truly great write. |
