Falling Down

Looking back
at the wreckage from crashes
wounds still bleed from broken dreams
I guess
some things can't be ignored.
Searching for
something to believe in
to many Illusions in this burning confusion
has me shakened and unsure.
Falling down
in slow motion is so painful
when I use to care I slipped on a tear
now I'm
damaged
and care no more.
Praying for
thee apocalypse to come faster
no longer want or really need
to be here
here at all.

Falling down in slow motion....
That's just... extraordinary. I wish, frankly, I had thought to express it that way. Those five words absolute drove this home for me.
As an aside --- it should be simply "shaken"... the 'ed' is unnecessary. *wink*
It feels to me like you're writing yourself through (or out of... even) something --- and, if you ask me, it just doesn't get better than that. If I'm right... I wish you a successful journey.
