Crazy Em Love

Contributed by Dreama on Friday, 4th March 2005 @ 10:35:22 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

One click of a mouse, a few keys pressed, message sent.
0's and 1's fly through wires, who knows which way they went.
Pinkie message on my screen. Where's it from? Who's sent it?
A pretty Thai girl, saying she likes me as if she meant it.
She gave me her MSN address and we began to chat often,
before I knew it the internet relationship did blossom.
Days fly by online and the deep conversations continue;
Webcam and picture trading always made a good view!
We chatted for a year or so, we traded presents and letters
I told her all my interests and tried hard not to forget hers.
Soon we chatted every day and she told me that she loved me!
I didn't know what to say to it, I was too used to being free.
Love is such a crazy word. It can mean so many things.
What it implies is a connection, and the happiness that brings.
I didn't know if you loved me or just what you saw on screen,
I couldn't say the words back to you to keep my conscience clean.
I started work, earned some dosh, then you asked me to stay!
The timing was impeccable because I wanted to get away.
I saved my pennies, bought a ticket, and came to you in May;
What a nice change to see sunny skies instead of the usual grey!
You held my hand, you kissed me softly, you showed me things I'd never seen.
You gave me your heart, you shared your house, you became my queen!
6 months apart after we spent that wonderful first month together.
I travelled some more to attempt escape from the miserable English weather!
Now I have been to see you a second time and we're apart once more
I can't honestly remember what my life seemed like before.
You try everyday to make me happy so now I say I love you too
because now I understand we do have a connection strong and true.
I miss you so much honey now that we're apart
so with this poem I honour you, and offer you my heart.
