An empty space between the pages
As if missing a piece of the plot
Edges purposely torn and frayed
I wondered where the page had gone
Missing
Blowing in the wind over Chicago
Whipped up in the clouds over New York
Missing
The emptiness annoyed me
As if I was betrayed somehow
In the telling and retelling of the story
Missing
Lonely for the sound of words
I tried to remember what they said
There was nothing there but silence
As if that world was dead

An incredibly beautiful write. I think my favourtie lines would have to be:
"There was nothing there but silence
As if that world was dead"
A deep, creative and insightful piece of writing. A masterpiece even. Thanks for sharing.
Take care
Hugs 'n Love
