Dangerous Abyss

Feet extended by rubber, body encased in foam,
This watery abyss is mine to freely roam,
Slipping through the deep depths unknown,
Wondering what it is that the water is shown.
The darkness penetraded by my flashlight,
Cut off from civilization by water's might,
Breathing my life in through a metal tank,
For the priceless vision of the watery rank.
Unnatural quiet floats all around,
Unimaginable creatures on this playground,
Dangerously scary, but the sight beholds,
I should really leave, but my will folds.
I spend too much time down at eighty feet,
My tank is beeping, this disaster I repeat,
Swimming with burning lungs right to the top,
Just when I think I won't make it, on the surface I pop.
I use up my energy on the long swim to shore,
I can't wait to get down there and see some more,
So I get out of the water, and take a break,
Then grab a new tank, and get back into the lake.

Wow this is beautiful....i thought you were speaking about the Ocean when i first started reading this....so what all do you see when you go down under the lake?? Geez i never thought about anyone scuba diving in a lake...that has to be interesting.....whether in a lake or the ocean either one....thanks for sharing this one...i love the visions you gave in it....
