Our Step

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 4th March 2005 @ 01:31:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I remember when we used to sit on our step,
I have precious memories that I’ll never forget,
We used to sit & talk for hours & hours,
Right through the summer & winter showers.

I would lay my head on your shoulder,
Telling you that I didn’t want to get older,
Speaking of the horrors of my past,
You told me with love they’d no longer last.

We’d laugh & giggle like silly sixteen year olds,
So wrapped in each other we didn’t feel the cold,
We would talk about anything & everything,
Wondering what our futures would bring.

We would share so many a passionate kiss,
If I could go back those times I wouldn’t miss,
I would go back & do it all over again,
At that time you were the only one keeping me sane.

I never wanted our shared nights to end,
I think we both knew we’d be more than just friends,
Look at us now over two years down the line,
I am still 100% yours as you are 100% mine.

has a nice thought to it but the end seems choppy. for example the last stanza could be made stronger if changed to:

i never want the nights to end,
we will always be more then just friends,
look at us now two years down the line,
i am all yours and you are all mine;

anyways gl with everything and keep fixing the little things......
