In Wars men must die
In sorrow children indeed cry
As surly as the clouds poor rain
You will never see me again
This is no threat, nor a promise
Just a quick glimpse into my subconscious
While your in there, report to me
All the wickedness and insanity
In the tree over the hill
Lay our names carved forever still
She sheds her leaves and protects her birds
As we laid beneath her, and spoke our lost words
Is this an ending, it cant be true
Forever was never an option, with a girl like you
In my heart I know its just an old sad song
To love me when Im weak and so wrong
As the leaves fell on our heads
They felt like life was simply needle and thread
We must all fit in our place and time
This was all yours, none of it mine
Making sense of it all, would be a treat
But in this life, nothing comes easy, everything first ends in defeat
Where will I go, What should I do
This burdens me so, the entire day through
Captive in my mind
Yet free in some other time
I run upwards towards that hill
Where the tree of life wakes me with a chill
And I am reborn, yet again
When wonder when it ever began
