My Shoes

My shoes have seen crazier roads
They have flown to countries far abroad
They have trekked corners of countless New York City blocks
They have climbed mountains just to kick off rocks
My Shoes have ran miles at times
They have committed unspeakable crimes
My Shoes have fallen for many lovely girls
They have made them hurt and stolen their worlds
They have stormed out of countless rooms
But have always returned to the gentle warmth of Gods womb
They have kicked in doors
And at times, they only craved more and more
They will stomp of many faces
Draw blood from empty spaces
My shoes will keep me warm
They feel new to me, others see them torn
My shoes have protected my dreams
These shoes are powerful, or so it seems
My shoes, however, will soon be sold
To a man with no feet, for pennies on gold
Perched on their shelf in my room
These shoes, seek life to consume
