Can I blame you, honey?

I've been let down
Can I blame you, honey?
I'm still coming around,
I guess I'll always be...
Shivering in my bath,
you tell you're lovely lady it's alright...
Don't plan on an admission,
guess I'll be alone again tonight...
or maybe I'll be high.
I'll feel nice
and see the light,
living all alone...
I can see you sometimes
but I can never bring you home.
I guess I fear because
I can't help from what I've felt and seen,
I don't feel true
I only feel as if I've been dreaming.
When you're near
I kiss your face
I tell you, Dear
that it's a shame
You take away everything that feels fine
when you walk away
I go around the circles of my mind
Sometimes I feel like
I belong to you
That feeling is about as tangible
as walking on the moon
A thousand miles and I'm getting there too soon......
I've been let down
Can I blame you, honey?

This was refreshing, and well done.

Today I was remembering when I lived in a place of deep kisses and deeper sighs. Ah, but there was no future in that place, and I am glad to have moved on from it. Your writes are always enthralling and often sad. This one was both.

ditto what stitch said.

this had a lighthearted feel to it but it was anything but. the words seemed like lyrics to a song.

as ever, captivating.
