To The End

To The End
~~~~
Every mans days on earth are numbered
Which day will be your last already determined
Although the thought pains me greatly
It’s a reality I can not change
All the meaningful things in life suddenly taken
All your hard work left for someone else to enjoy
Loved ones left behind cling to memories
As the sun continues to rise in the morn
Some will live their life preparing for the ending
While others will never give it a thought at all
Some will defy death by doing things of challenge
While others will let go in their sleep
It’s hard to say on any given day which one is better
Death seldom makes any type of sense at all
And the more to try to make some sense of it
The greater the puzzle becomes
What I’ve learned with having to deal with this topic
Like anyone else I’ve lost my share of friends
Is that you have to live each day to the fullest
And never take your next breath for granted
Every mans days on earth are numbered
Which day will be your last already determined
Although the thought pains me greatly
It’s a reality I can not change
Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
