I didn't turn my back on you, I didn't turn away
I saw you turn your back on me, I saw you walk away
A word unspoken. A word unsaid
A space that was. A space now dead

An ocean between us, A sea so wide
A fraction of time, A place to hide
Such briefness in time but time seems too slow
The Place can not hurt you, it helps you grow

A little time, A little space
To consider your actions
Before the whole human race
A moment in time we need to resolve
The feelings of hurt we must dissolve

Life in it's own is way too short
To burden yourself with wounding hurt
I too did turn my back on you, I too did turn away
I didn't want to see the pain, I turned to keep it at bay

I see the sadness in your face, I know it's due to me
I know I took you to a place, You didn't want to be
You say it's meant to strengthen me, of that I'm not too sure
I trust you though, I always will, I know our love is pure
