tears of the heart

Contributed by the_mouse_that_roared on Tuesday, 1st March 2005 @ 08:29:43 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Like a whisper at night
in the dark, out of sight
silently, fall the tears of a heart

not a single sound makes
as it quietly breaks
from the pain caused when worlds come apart

they don't stream down the face
leave no trail or trace
you can't wipe them away with your hand

it's the weeping inside
for a dream that has died
over reasons it can't understand

Watch it now as it cries
listen close for the sighs
you will never be able to tell

of the agony felt
or the dirty deeds dealt
though it's living its own private hell

hearts will hide what they feel
and deny what is real
so that "one" other heart doesn't know

how 'til it beats its last
it will dwell on the past
hiding love that it never dare show

TMTR

This is good stuff. You could clean up your capitalization some, but definitely good stuff.

Welcome to YPDC, TMTR (love the user name by the way)!

This is a great first post. A rather accurate reflection of how it can be to let go, I think. (Do we ever really?) I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. Grab a chair, stay a bit....

Happy to have stumbled across your page,
SNM
