You told me
If I got A's you'd be happy
But guess what I'm not perfect
And I don't care if your angry
Don't punish me
For just being me
This is how I'm gonna be
So get used to me
You told me
That you love me, well I know that
But sometimes you need to show it
And I don't care if you know that
Don't punish me
For just being me
This is how I'm gonna be
So get used to me
You told me
After all this you were sorry
But that's not the end of the story
And I don't care if you're judge and jury
Don't punish me
For just being me
This is how I'm gonna be
So get used to me
I'm not changing me
To who you want me to be
'CAUSE I'M JUST
ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why did I give your song a high rating? Geesh, I hope there are parents out there that get a clue. A great deal of parents can't accept a little better is great. When a child is not given some credit, they tend to rebel. Listen to your children, they give you insight. If the doors are closed to growth because of selfishness, you lose the greatest gifts of all. That is communication with your child. Is it worth it? I think not. Thanks for the great write. |
