Struggle

Contributed by dormen on Tuesday, 1st March 2005 @ 03:59:26 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

My life hasn't been easy
not a quit walk down the lane
There were times i thought
I just couldnt't take it no more
when I wanted
to lay down my head and die

I've had friends
good and bad
I was lied to and deceived
There were times
I thought nobody cared
but that where just
my bad friends

They tried to lure me
into there darkness
they were scared
for me to live
to live a happy live
a live in the light

But I survived
because I fought
I fought and struggled
and spit life right back in it's face
Pushed back the darkness
in my mind

Found who my my friends where
found out who cared
I found the good things
all around me
and now
a happy spirit follows me
in my hearth
whereever I go

No more tears
no more sadness
because I learned to trust
the people who really cared
so now there is
a smile on my face

Nobody ever told me
live would be easy
but I did learn
live can be beautifull
if you trust
the people who really care

it's like walking down the sidewalk reciting all these things you feel, effortless and true, captivated in your own circle of life. really nice write. Tiffany J.
