Attempted Pain

The cold sharp blade...up against my wrist
however, no pressure...
my mind is raging...
"dont do it, you will regret it... scarred for life"
says one side of my brain.
"do it, no cares, no one will notice,you can hide the scar"
the other side fusses....

I want the pain to go away,
Will this help...I want to know.
"The knife is in your hand...just do it, and you will see"
The pain is speaking to me...

There's the garage door, parents home...
put the knife away fast!...

Was it a sign, not to do it?
I can't beleive I even thought about it...
Would I have done it if my parents didn't come home just then?
I am stronger than this,
I am better than this,
I know not to do it,
so I decide not to attempt it ever again...

But I still wonder,
Who will care,
Will anyone notice...probably not,
They think I'm almost perfect...
look again...can you see my pain???
Guess not...
