Tenacious woman who
Could not fear impossibility.
Embraced the futility of
Infinite and gazed in wistful
Desire upon the stars that night
Though I longed to wrap her
Seize her in this wanton embrace
Consume what lived inside her
Savage Beauty
(Though I longed…)
Her grace was a fluid thing,
Full of warmth, yet unreachable
My arms flew through her
Misty and improbable existence
Caught only wisps of possibility
Nothing more tangible than that.
These dreams (her body spoke to me
With the rawness of inevitability)
Are dust when you reach them
Lost to yesterday, and of no interest
To me.
Rage was how I loved. Howled to
The moon in this primitive despair,
Demanding to be understood
While she heard only the quiet cries
Of another vaporizing man.

Enunciated with fervour:
"(Though I longed…)"
I can see this photo from many angles, although I thought you skimped in this descriptor
"(her body spoke to me
With the rawness of inevitability)"
Is there another way to say that?
Thanks for sharing it, though. It was . . . an interesting read, for sure. |

"These dreams (her body spoke to me
With the rawness of inevitability)" - Wow. Your poetry is fluidity embraced within and let go. Tiffany J.
