Come down, crash with me
and watch my reality fall dust into ash...
Come too close that I might see
the light fading inside of me...
And you might see love waning away from me
as it reflects windows thru my eyes.
Let me feel you tightly and clasp hands tightly
and up in arms I lost my chance...
Come too close that I might see
the crash of reality come down on me.
Without that love I'll find the dark,
tighter now, I'll find your heart...
Let me hold you scarce like sun and rain on a rainy day
We'll see the lights searching like the night goes by
Free like wind...refuse to die...
Free, indeed, so I can cry.

Freedom can come at a terrible price, but sometimes that is what must be paid for healing to occur. Your writes always amaze me, and I can always relate. Nice stuff.

Another very good poem. You certainly have command of word usage. I see that in all your poems that I have read. |
