Wash Over Me

Contributed by freckle on Sunday, 27th February 2005 @ 07:09:21 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Wash over me
and cleanse me,
my weaken limbs
lean in, to feel
the water
wash over me

Frail, my strength
depleted,
I stand and sigh
Releasing my spirit
beneath the comforting flow

Wash over me
renew
my strength,
my peace
of mind

I hold onto
hope
I am beaten
but not broken
Wash over me

The spray
so satifying
Washes away
the dirt of my being,
my tired thoughts

Calm settles
amidst the drops
wash over me
and leave me clean
Ready to face
another tomorrow

Carol

Simple and deep. Such a poem allows all sorts of people to relate to it. I only wish you had provided an explanation so I could confirm whether the meaning is similar to what I felt from it. Or are you pulling a Hemmingway on us all?

Thars nuthin like tha refreshin scent of Irish Spring in tha mornin, or a Zest y shower ... especially if ya watch commercials. Me, I'd rather experience this feeling in a tropical waterfall on a daily basis. If I could find the way to do it, I would so be there. I like that one Carol ... It kinda says ... Goodmorning !!!

Oh, this is my prayer. I love this. I feel this...I have said this...not exactly in these words, but surely the feeling behind them has sprung from my very pores at time. Oh, this is really nice.
