Empty Bed Space

Contributed by InexactExactness on Saturday, 14th December 2002 @ 08:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Alone I whisper
Into my own ear
About the fact that you're not there
Right beside me
an empty bed space
Where a sleeping body should lie
I lay there wondering
about the timing
When everything seemed to go wrong
It doesn't make sense
My incompetence?
Or my ignorance for not noticing you
It's strange to me now
I was used to it
I was used to the way things were
I never thought much
I still have problems
About the realism that faces me now
I need you with me
But you have left me
You had every right in the world
But I need this empty
Space beside me
To be filled with the warmth from you
The thoughts in my mind
Are all consumed
With the fact that you aren't here
It's four o'clock and
I'm still wondering
When will I ever get over you
