selfstruggles

Tonight I will go to that place.
though I have always stayed away
I stored all of my pain
away.
Shelves upon shelves
endless rows
words whip at my ears
tears flood into my lungs
drowning me
tears that i was too weak to release.
Memories
clawing at my face
a thousand unsolved mysteries
screeching in pain
begging, pleading me to heal.
"Let me out
Let it out"
theyre on their knees
"forgive yourself
forgive me"
I am the vessel of my own purgatory
a living monument of self-defeat
and all that i hear are my own screams
begging to be justified
I am my own dungeon of torture.

good poem very vivid and filled with so much
pain. I enjoyed it and I hope that writing
enables you to get rid of what is tormenting
you. I really liked the ending by the way.

I truly hope freedom has released you from the self made confines of the past. A brilliant confession well penned.
Peace
