Love Works

Contributed by Mystic_Beauty_nz on Sunday, 27th February 2005 @ 12:09:22 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Say what you mean with love in your heart
It is, you will find, the right way to start
Anger needs anger to stay alive
Feed it with love and man will survive

The door is open to come in from the cold
This is the time to hear what is told
From the earliest days when man first arrived
Harmony went with a searing pride

No longer in peace and missing what mattered
A country grew where dreams were shattered
It's never too late for love to meet hate
A rebirth of love will see anger abate

The children, our children, the one chance we're given
Teach them that love means a life worth living
Forgiveness, compassion, the good things in life
All need to be taught to ease the strife

The future is ours to do as we wish
To live in love or remain with anguish
With the world as it is the latter takes rule
Yet love is the way and love is the fuel

We all get a turn to see how it feels
With anger living close on our heels
Fed with kindness and a tender touch
A loving response can help so much

Perhaps there is more truth “with this wondrous muse” than is palatable for most; for, I can't imagine why more haven’t commented on such a work of wisdom-n-art.

~*~...Marquerite De Valois once said: "Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and stretching the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy."

Indeed, Love is a Challenger among brave-hearts~!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
