all thats left is
sweet memory
of one great night
the smell of the fire
burning away our fright
with the sound of guitar
he's stumming in the light
the feeling of freedom
among your friends
the feeling that this
would,
could,
never end
and
we wish
that it wont
because
we know
that summer is life
and
life is lived in the midst of one great summer

your poem reminds me of many great times i've had and i love how you closed the poem with this line "life is lived in midst of one great summer" because it's true and so many people don't realize it |
