My Wonderous Herb

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Saturday, 26th February 2005 @ 08:57:52 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I never tire of smoking
the kind herb that eases my soul.

One of my three wishes
would be to have a never-ending bowl

I love it because it's natural
and been used for thousands of years

The medicinal properties
are simply overwhelming

Herb for me releaves
nausea, headaches, and stress

It's a glorious way to naturally relax

I'm hoping one day our
government gets wise

Start telling the truth about
marijuana and stop the lies

I've smoked for close to thirty years
and don't use other drugs

I graduated high school
upper in my class
Graduated nursing school
and excelled quite well in that

I am happily married
have two wonderful children as well

But because of my government
and their suffocating control
of my body and mind

It's fear I sometimes live with
just to smoke the kind.

this is a well expressed poem Laura.
As you said maybe one day the Government will tell the truth about this drug (herb) and its benefits
Blessings to you,
Sue

I've never smoked pot , and maybe I should have.... I don't know. I drank beer instead in my younger days. I see you have the courage of your conviction.

Bravo for that brave sharing, my friend
Thanks for commenting on my poem

Peace, Terry

I agree whole-heartedly. It's a shame that people can drink (legally)and drive, but we have to hide our weed use. How much harm can a pot-head cause? They might knock someone down to get to the munchies. OOOO we're dangerous!! lol Sorry, got off on a tangent there. Like the old saying goes.....Man made booze, God made grass. Who would you trust? Peace to you
Thumper ;o)
