If love is, for certain, the weight of the world,
Then call me Atlas my dear,
For it is all the world's weight that I bear for you.
And if Cupid's arrows do, in fact, stalk mortal flesh,
Then name me, Victim,
For I have been gravely wounded.
If worlds are compelled, thus, to captivate moons,
Then my name is, Captive,
For you are my world.
And if my heart were yet a bird,
Would you not then be the wings,
Which would give me flight to the clear blue of the heavens?
Dear...if my heart were even the dust of the Earth,
Would you not be the seed that would grow a green smile,
On my rugged, weathered face?
My love, If my heart were still and lifeless,
Would you not then be my cherub of hope,
And would you not breathe into me life anew?
