selfstruggles
|
There comes a point in time,
when it's just too much.
Lost within this web of lies,
that I've made up.
What is fake,
what is it I should erase?
Should I come clean,
or should I lie to win the race?
All these thoughts of dreams,
that just aren't true.
Trying to be honest,
but it's just no use.
What's the point of being real,
when nothing is?
Why should I stay here,
and deal with all of this?
I'm addicted to dishonesty,
my drug of choice.
Warming my blood with falsities,
when I have no voice.
If I died,
who would sort out all my words?
Who would break the news,
who would cause the hurt?
I don't want to stay,
in this state of mind.
I just want to be true,
in and outside.

I love this one, its thought provoking and quite touching. I think my favourite stanza-verse-thingy had to be:
"I'm addicted to dishonesty,
my drug of choice.
Warming my blood with falsities,
when I have no voice."
but they're all great. thanks for sharing.
Take Care

I'm not going to be presumptious and answer your rhetoric. I'll only say that I like how you write. This was a good read. |
