Ooh! Me dirty washing!

Contributed by jackwilde on Friday, 25th February 2005 @ 04:18:43 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I couldn’t be a wash basket,
If I could smell and think,
Because all that dirty underwear,
Would make my wicker stink,
To cope with stripy knickers,
And dirty trousers too?
And people’s shirts and socks and things,
And that horrible smell of poo?
There are other items,
I would not want to touch,
For all these things inside me,
Get a bit too much,
So that would be my story,
Then get broke to bits,
By people ramming in washing,
That doesn’t even fit.

This sounds a lot like something your dad would write although I think you've done a better job than he'd have done.

Some of my favorite lines:

"Because all that dirty underwear,
Would make my wicker stink,"

"To cope with stripy knickers,
And dirty trousers too?
And people’s shirts and socks and things,
And that horrible smell of poo?"

You've put a giggle in my gullet with this one.
Great job. Keep on writing. You're a natural.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

this is wonderfully clever, jack, i am, as i write this doing my washing and now have a big smile on my face lol, on a serious note, putting yourself in someone else's place or feeling yourself being something else, is the mark of excellence in a writer, great job:) hugs n' love nessa
